A Range of Styles, One Standard of Excellence

Fineline is one of our specialities! Fineline tattoos are delicate and designed to create a softer and thinner look. This style is precise as with any thin line steadiness is key!
At our studio, you can take almost any design and translate it to a fineline technique if thin and light is what you're going for.

Do you want your tattoo to look like a photo? Well, the realism tattoo style is for you! This style uses the picture of an object provided and quite literally, copies it as is!
Take note, lights and shadows are extremely important in a picture and more so when translated onto a tattoo. It's what brings images from 2D to 3D. Check out some examples in both color and black & grey. See where the light and shadows play to highlight and con-tour?

Let's take a microscopic look. With a tiny canvas to work on of about 1 - 1.5 inch, micro-realism uses many attributes necessary for a realism tattoo. Keep in mind, with such a small area to work on, the artist finds every detail that much more important.
While not everything can translate to a micro size as it can compromise certain details, micro-realism befriends a lot of skill!

Letters, words, phrases, quotes, numbers; anything we hear or read placed right on our bodies. The typographic style invites all kinds of fonts, whether practical or creative, to have someone carry the special meaning of letters and numbers.

In a similar style of pattern-like designs such as the geometrical style, the ornamental style ranges from delicate and intricate to bold and graphic. It welcomes symbols and dotwork to form a design that ultimately becomes decorative body art.

Perhaps you're a "less is more" kinda person and you find beauty in clean and simple designs to create harmony within a tattoo. Minimalism tattoos plays with negative space to fill in the design. Outlines of images or abstract interpretations are popular minimalist de-signs!

Maybe you have a tattoo design in mind that isn't particularly any type of aforementioned style, but you are interested in adding some color to your idea. This one's for you! At Iris, we have all kinds of colorful ink to make the art most precious to each client. Should you want to add some color, let's do it!
Check out some examples on how to add color.

Looking for a style that invites realistic shading and intricacies using hyper - finite technique? The dot-work style uses each dot as the next step in creating a larger picture or design. This style is versatile as it can bring to life almost any-thing, but calls for uniqueness as taking a closer look, hundreds of dots are placed. It's kinda like looking at the sky and thinking of how many stars make up a larger gal-axy. Intricate, isn't it?

Think "balance and symmetrical", geometrical tattoos find and create intricacies using basic shapes such as circles, triangles, squares, and other polygons. There is beauty in precision!

Stroke of genius? Of an Artist! The watercolor style is reminiscent of a painterly style that adores splashes of colors and mimics the soft, flowy, and seamless finishes a paintbrush has. While the watercolor style is perfect for real-life na-turesque colors of animals and flowers, watercolor can be up to interpretation and abstract works of colorful arts are celebrated at the studio.
