From the very beginning, our studio was designed as a space free from stereotypes, where everyone who walks through our doors feels welcome to express who they are and who they’re becoming. Iris exists to honor creativity, individuality, and the deeply personal stories behind every tattoo and piercing.
By carefully shaping our environment — with exceptional artists, skilled piercers, and a culture rooted in warmth and collaboration — we ensure that every step of the creative process is meaningful. Most importantly, we strive to create a beautiful memory for the person who will carry their art for life.
From Buenos Aires
to the World
Iris was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2013, founded by entrepreneur and tattoo enthusiast Nahuel Hilal alongside design and marketing professional Sabina Katz. Together, they envisioned a studio where artistry, hospitality, and human connection could coexist seamlessly.
In 2015, Iris expanded to Miami — a city that embraced us fully. Located in the heart of Wynwood, our Miami studio quickly became both a neighborhood landmark and an international destination for tattoos and piercings.
Today, Iris is home to 28 tattoo and piercing artists and more than 30 team members across two countries. Growth and expansion continue to shape our journey, guided by a commitment to exceptional client experience and a close-knit, family-oriented studio culture. These values have become the foundation of our reputation and the reason so many clients return.

Iris Forest
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint because we love what we do but we love our planet even more. Since 2019, we have been offsetting our carbon footprint with a reforestation program of native trees managed by Seamos Bosques in Argentina.
