Growing up surrounded by tattooing and watching her mother work at Iris, Azul was inspired early on to develop her own artistic path. She gravitated toward fine-line and blackwork illustrative tattoos, honing a skillful and thoughtful approach to her work. One area she’s especially excited to explore further in her career is botanical illustration—collecting small pieces of beauty from around the world and translating them into designs that connect her and her clients with nature.
Azul also finds joy in self-expression through design. The sparkle and detail of our piercing jewelry inspired her to become a piercer as well, where her favorite part of the job is encouraging clients to embrace their personal style through intentional adornment. Outside of the studio, you can find Azul attending live shows across genres (from country to post-hardcore and shoegaze) or engraving glass pieces with her signature illustrations.
