I got my first tattoo here and for such an egregious price my tattoo turned out terrible. I trusted my tattoo artist would have the most knowledge about placement, style, positioning, etc. This place has a strict "artist designs the tattoos" policy, yet he didn't design the tattoo at all until i arrived at the shop. I watched him trace a photo of a leopard and put no creativity or consideration of how the photo would translate into a tattoo. I was not in a good place when I got the tattoo and did not want to be overly pushy about the design when I assumed the artist would know best... I put my faith into the artist, and I shouldn't have.

He placed it on the weirdest place on my arm where it sits at an unflattering angle. The head of the leopard disappears into the neck and the face is hardly visible from afar. The shoulder is oversized and messed up the silhouette of the animal. Plus he shaded it too much that it looks so dark you can hardly see what kind of animal it is. He encouraged me to make it bigger when he was designing it and now i have this large bad tattoo in the middle of my arm. The best part of the tattoo is on my inner elbow, which is not visible, while the botched face and front legs are there for all to see. I want to get it removed.

Because it's permanent, I tried to love the tattoo and thought a touch up could help. If anything it just reinforced the poor design and strange autonomy.

I definitely prefer minimal fine line tattoos which is why i picked iris tattoo, but for such an expense price and weak tattoo style I would not recommend this shop. Their refusal to deliver what I asked for is why I am writing a dissatisfied review 2 years later. I wish I had spoken up sooner.

Going to Iris tatoo is not about just the tatoo. Is a whole experience! The service is great and how they listen to your needs and help you design whatever you want is amazing. I went with an idea and Flor helped me land it and she gave ideas and it turned up great! I’m very happy and I would definitely go back and recommend it.

Absolutely amazing service, and such a fun team. I got my tragus piercing at Iris Tattoo in early Feb 2024. I was skeptical of getting it cuz I always heard that one hurts really bad, but oh my god that was the most painless piercing I have ever had. My piercer was Maria Mescolin and she was fast like flash and terrific at what she does. ⚡️She gave clear instructions on post care and tips to avoid any infections. Ive been following this and my piercing has been healing beautifully. 🥹

Not to mention the whole team was just a delight! They accommodated us last minute (we were visiting Miami so this was kinda spontaneous), and my friends got tattoos and they took them in as well and stayed until past 9pm for us. I can’t remember the name, but the lady who assisted us was so lovely!

10/10 service for sure! And I shall visit when Im in Miami again. Also, checkout the cuuuuutest little earring I got from their collection. 😍
